Geotechnical Assessment to Provide a Soil Improvement Scheme for New Steel Water Tanks 

As new steel water tanks are to be established on land, it is empirical that a geotechnical assessment be performed to ensure the safety of placing the structure in said area. For that purpose, Saudi Tumpane Engineering hired TB Associates to assess their project site, located in the area of Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and provide a scheme for the improvement of soil on site to ensure soil stability and achieve the highest standards of safety. The project included a geological and site assessment, sub-soil investigations, geotechnical interpretation, the identification of ground improvements and treatment, and the design of foundations for future structures.
